Privacy Policy

How Archicode collects, uses and protects personal information — written plainly, and in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Last updated 30 September 2026 Terms & Conditions

Archicode (ABN 72 186 867 591) (“Archicode”, “we”, “us”, “our”) designs and builds websites, custom software, mobile apps and AI-enabled solutions for businesses. We treat the information you share with us the way we treat your project — carefully, and only for the job it was given for.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it and how you can access or correct it. It applies to archicode.com.au (the “Site”) and to the services we provide. By using the Site or contacting us, you acknowledge that we will handle your information as described here.

01

Information we collect

You can browse most of the Site without telling us who you are. We collect personal information only when it is reasonably necessary for our work with you:

  • What you send us. When you submit a project brief, email us or book a call, we collect your name, email address, company, phone number (if you give it), what you are looking to build, your timeframe and budget range, and anything else you choose to include.
  • Project information. While we work together we may have access to information about your business, your systems and the people who use them — for example test accounts or records in a staging or live system. We handle this under our agreement with you and any NDA in place.
  • Technical information. When you visit the Site we may automatically collect your browser type and version, device and operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring website and an approximate location derived from your IP address.

We don’t ask for sensitive information (such as health details) through the Site. Please don’t send it to us unless we have agreed, as part of a project, how it will be handled.

02

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare proposals, estimates and timelines.
  • To deliver, support and improve the services we have agreed to provide.
  • To manage our relationship with you, including invoicing and payments.
  • To understand how the Site is used so we can make it better.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To send occasional updates — only if you have asked for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We use your information only for the purpose it was collected for, or a related purpose you would reasonably expect — unless you agree otherwise or the law requires or allows it. We never sell or rent personal information.

03

AI tools and your information

We use AI tools alongside our team to design, write and test software faster. We do not enter your confidential or personal information into AI services that use it to train their models.

Where a solution we build for you uses an AI service to process your data, we choose providers with appropriate data-handling and security commitments, and we agree the approach with you before any real data is used.

04

Who we share it with

We share personal information only when we need to, and only as much as is needed:

  • Service providers who help us run the business — hosting, email, cloud storage, project management, analytics, accounting and payment processing. They receive only what they need to provide their service, and we take reasonable steps to make sure they are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations.
  • Professional advisers such as our lawyers, accountants and insurers, where necessary.
  • Authorities, where we are required or authorised to by law.
05

Storage outside Australia

Some of the cloud services we use store data on servers outside Australia — for example in the United States or the European Union. When information is held or processed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

06

Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and your browser’s local storage to remember simple preferences — for example, whether you have already seen the intro animation. Where analytics are enabled, they help us understand overall traffic and trends; they are not used to identify you personally.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still work, although some preferences may not be remembered. If we introduce advertising or conversion tracking, we will update this section first.

07

Keeping your information secure

We keep information in secure, access-controlled systems, encrypt it in transit, use multi-factor authentication where available and limit access to the people who need it. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, change or disclosure.

No online system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. When we no longer need personal information, we securely delete it or de-identify it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

08

Data breaches

If we suspect a data breach, we act quickly to contain it and assess the risk. If a breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

09

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@archicode.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

Making a request is free. If providing access involves significant work, we may charge a reasonable fee — and we will tell you before we start. If we can’t give you access or make a correction, we will explain why in writing.

10

Complaints

If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within five business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. Information we have already collected will continue to be handled under the policy that applied when we collected it, unless you agree otherwise.
